Our Scottish self catering cottage is conveniently situated 2.5 miles from Scotland’s ‘Artist’s Town’ of Kirkcudbright near Galloway and Dumfries.
Kirkcudbright is busy fishing village which dates back to the 12th century and is the perfect location for self catering holidays in Scotland.
Kirkcudbright has a number of galleries plus regular exhibitions of national importance. There is an attractive marina and a busy working harbour plus a number of hotels and restaurants and good local shopping facilities.
Enjoying a sheltered position in the estuary of the River Dee, only 25 miles from Dumfries, and a short Ferry journey from Ireland, Kirkcudbright offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, attractive coastal landscapes and lots of outdoor and indoor pursuits.
